Rules & Regulations / Code of conduct for Students

  1. Students should keep identity cards with them in the college campus.


  2. Courtesy and respect must be the key aspects of students behavior. Disrespect and disobedience may result in disciplinary action.


  3. Attendance is compulsory for lectures, practicals, test and examinations of all subjects.


  4. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college premises and outside. Students including in ragging will be punished as per "UGC Regulation on curbing the menace of Ragging in higher education institutes, 2009, Published in the Gazette of India dated 4th July 2009.Such students will also be expelled from the college and FIR will be lodged with the police against them.

  6. Students are prohibited from doing anything inside and outside the college that will interfere in the college administration or affects its public image. No outside influence, political or any other should be brought into the college, directly or indirectly.


  7. Scribing the walls and desks should be avoided. If any student is found strict action will be taken against him/her.


  8. Students who bring bicycles and two wheelers have to park their vehicles in the parking area allotted for them which has no charge. College officials will not be responsible for theft or damage of vehicles parked.


  9. Copying in any examination, keeping notebook pages and electronic gadgets, exchanging answer sheets, allowing proxy writer will be treated as an offence and necessary action will be taken.


  10. No student shall collect money without written permission of the Principal.


  11. Students shall not organize picnic, excursion trips etc., on their own.


  12. All programs, meeting, gathering, picnics etc. will be organized with prior written permission of the Principal.


  13. The rules set by the college authorities needs to be followed time to time.


  14. The Principal's decision is the final decision in all cases and it is mandatory for all students.



Teachers and their Responsibilities :

Whoever adopts teaching as a profession assumes the obligation to conduct himself / herself in accordance with the ideal of the profession. A teacher is constantly under the scrutiny of his students and the society at large. Therefore, every teacher should see that there is no incompatibility between his precepts and practice. The national ideals of education which have already been set forth and which he/she should seek to inculcate among students must be his/her own ideals. The profession further requires that the teacher should be calm, patient and communicative by temperament and amiable in disposition.


Teacher should:

  1. Adhere to a responsible pattern of conduct and demeanor expected of them by the community.


  2. Manage their private affairs in a manner consistent with the dignity of the profession.


  3. Seek to make professional growth continuous through study and research.


  4. Express free and frank opinion by participation at professional meetings, seminars, conferences etc., towards the contribution of knowledge.


  5. Maintain active membership of professional organisations and strive to improve education and profession through them.


  6. Perform their duties in the form of teaching, tutorials, practicals, seminars and research work, conscientiously and with dedication.


  7. Discourage and not indulge in plagiarism and other non ethicalbehaviour in teaching and research.


  8. Abide by the Act, Statute and Ordinance of the University and to respect its ideals, vision, mission, cultural practices and tradition.


  9. Co-operate and assist in carrying out the functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the college and the university, such as: assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counselling students as well as assisting the conduct of university and college examinations, including supervision, invigilation and evaluation.


  10. Participate in extension, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, including the community service.



Teachers and Students
Teachers should:

  1. Respect the rights and dignity of the student in expressing his/her opinion.


  2. Deal justly and impartially with students regardless of their religion, caste, gender, political, economic, social and physical characteristics.


  3. Recognise the difference in aptitude and capabilities among students and strive to meet their individual needs.


  4. Encourage students to improve their attainments, develop their personalities and at the same time contribute to community welfare


  5. Inculcate among students scientific temper, spirit of inquiry and ideals of democracy, patriotism, social justice, environmental protection and peace.


  6. Treat the students with dignity and not behave in a vindictive manner towards any Pay attention to only the attainment of the student in the assessment of merit.


  7. Make themselves available to the students even beyond their class hours and help and guide students without any remuneration or reward.


  8. Aid students to develop an understanding of our national heritage and national goals.


  9. Refrain from inciting students against other students, colleagues or administration.



Teachers and Colleagues
Teachers should:

  1. Treat other members of the profession in the same manner as they themselves wish to be treated.


  2. Speak respectfully of other teachers and render assistance for professional betterment.


  3. Refrain from making unsubstantiated allegations against colleagues to higher authorities.


  4. Refrain from allowing considerations of caste, creed, religion, race or sex in their professional endeavour.



Teachers and Authorities
Teachers should:

  1. Discharge their professional responsibilities according to the existing rules and adhere to procedures and methods consistent with their profession in initiating steps through their own institutional bodies and / or professional organisations for change of any such rule detrimental to the professional interest.


  2. Refrain from undertaking any other employment and commitment, including private tuitions and coaching classes which are likely to interfere with their professional responsibilities.


  3. Co-operate in the formulation of policies of the institution by accepting various offices and discharge responsibilities which such offices may demand;


  4. Co-operate through their organisations in the formulation of policies of the other institutions and accept offices.


  5. Co-operate with the authorities for the betterment of the institutions keeping in view the interest and in conformity with the dignity of the profession.


  6. Adhere to the terms of contract.


  7. Give and expect due notice before a change of position takes place.


  8. Refrain from availing themselves of leave except on unavoidable grounds and as far as practicable with prior intimation, keeping in view their particular responsibility for completion of academic schedule.



Teachers and Non-TeachingStaff
Teachers should:

  1. Treat the non-teaching staff as colleagues and equal partners in a cooperative undertaking, within every educational institution.


  2. Help in the functioning of joint-staff councils covering both the teachers and the non-teaching staff.

Teachers and Guardians
Teachers should:

Try to see through teachers' bodies and organisations, that institutions maintain contact with the guardians, their students, send reports of their performance to the guardians whenever necessary and meet the guardians in meetings convened for the purpose for mutual exchange of ideas and for the benefit of the institution.


Teachers and Society
Teachers should:

  1. Recognise that education is a public service and strive to keep the public informed of the educational programmes which are being provided.


  2. Work to improve education in the community and strengthen the community's moral and intellectual life ;


  3. Be aware of social problems and take part in such activities as would be conducive to the progress of society and hence the country as a whole;


  4. Perform the duties of citizenship, participate in community activities and shoulder responsibilities of public offices;


  5. Refrain from taking part in or subscribing to or assisting in any way activities, which tend to promote feeling of hatred or enmity among different communities, religions or linguistic groups but actively work for national integration.


  6. Adhere to the terms of contract.


  7. Give and expect due notice before a change of position takes place.


  8. Refrain from availing themselves of leave except on unavoidable grounds and as far as practicable with prior intimation, keeping in view their particular responsibility for completion of academic schedule.



Code of Professional Ethics for Non-teaching Staff

Non teaching employee shall.

  1. Devote his time and energy to develop and improve his academic and professional competence by availing all opportunities to attend and participate in programmes, such as Seminars, Orientation, Refresher Courses, In-service programme, etc. The Management shall give the Non teaching employee every possible opportunity to do so.


  2. Not ordinarily remain absent from work without prior permission or grant of leave.


  3. Observe the provisions of the University Act, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations and Rules in force and as modified, from time to time and abide by the decisions of the University/Management, Principal and shall ensure the interest of the University, College or Recognised Institution. Such decisions, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, etc. If it is found by the Management Institution by an act or negligence neglect or default on the part of the Non teaching employee, such damage or loss shall be recoverable from him.


  4. When required, attend to extra-curricular, co-curricular activities organized by the University, College and recognized Institution and Non teaching and supervisory work and maintenance of records and self reports or any other duties befitting the status of an administrator assigned to him by the Principal.


  5. Shall help the University, College or Recognized Institution authorities to enforce and maintain discipline and good habits among the students.

    1. Failure to perform his usual duties.

    2. Gross partiality in students, deliberately attempting victimization on any grounds.

    3. Inciting or instigating students against other students, colleagues, administration

    4. Raising questions of castes, creed or religion, race or sex in his relationships with the students and his colleagues and trying to use the above considerations for improvement of his prospects.

    5. Refusal to carry out the decisions of appropriate authorities, officers, administrative and academic bodies of the University. This will not inhibit his right to express his difference with their policies or decisions, expression, provided that he will not use the facilities or forum of the University, College or Recognized Institution to propagate his own ideas or beliefs for or against particular political party or alignment of political or religious activities.

    6. Accepting tuitions, conducting/participation in private coaching directly or indirectly or any classes or courses in any manner.

    7. Violation of the Anti – bigamy Act, Anti-dowry Act and any other such Acts in any manner directly or indirectly.

    8. Not avoid any work related to the University examinations without reasonable grounds.

    9. Refrain from consuming any intoxicating drink or drug in a public place

    10. Not appear in a public place in a state of intoxication.

    11. Not use any intoxicating drink or drug in excess so that he is unable to control his behavior.[Explanation . For the purpose of this rule, “public Place” means any place or premises (including conveyance) to which the public have or are permitted to have access, whether on payment or otherwise].

    12. Enjoy full civic and political rights as provided by the constitution.

  6. Have a right to adequate emoluments, social position, just conditions of service, professional independence and adequate social insurance.


  7. Be calm, patient and communicative by temperament and amiable in disposition.


  8. Manage his private affairs in a manner consistent with the dignity of the college

  7. Refrain from availing themselves of leave except on unavoidable grounds and as far as practicable with prior intimation, keeping in view their particular responsibility for completion of administrative schedule.



Non teaching employee and teachers
The Non teaching employee shall :

  1. Treat the teachers as colleagues and equal partners in a co-operative undertaking, within every educational institution.


  2. Help in the function of joint staff council covering both teachers and the Non teaching employees.



Non teaching employee and guardians
The Non teaching employee shall :

  1. Maintain contact with the guardians of their students.


  2. Send report of their performance to the guardians whenever necessary


  3. Meet the guardians in meetings convened for the purpose for mutual exchange of ideas and for the benefit of the institution.



Non teaching employee and society
The Non teaching employee shall :

The Principal is appointed by Management as per rules of UGC and Govt. of Maharashtra and it is approved by affiliating University Authorities.


• Principal is full time academic and administrative officer of the college and acts as a drawing and disbursing authority.

• Being an Academic Head should support, guide and think innovatively for overall development of students in the college.

• Inculcate research attitude in the faculty members and students and support those activities.

• Principal to be of a high moral character, ethical values, punctual and cooperative towards its stakeholders.

• Preparation of the budget, sanctioning from CDC and execution of the same.

• Utmost care to be taken in various scholarship schemes for students and grants for the college.

• Responsibility for smooth functioning of college, guidance in preparation of Academic Calendar, administrative and financial management in consultation with Governing Body.

• Maintaining good relations in society, Govt. offices, University etc. for overall development of the students.

• Enlighten the students in co-curricular, extra-curricular, sports and cultural activities for overall development through efficient and optimum utilization of the infrastructure.

• Principal to be fair in disciplinary actions towards the faculty members, non-teaching staff and students. For the same, recommend and forward communication to the authorities.

• Endeavour to implement vision, mission, goals and objectives of the college.

• Principal should take consistent efforts to improve quality and excellence of teaching and learning through IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) and to upgrade the NAAC grade.

• Articulate with the highest integrity to exhibit outstanding and strong leadership skills.
